I saw a cheesy rom-com movie recently which had the line “love is a verb”. Instead of buying overpriced roses this Valentine’s day (14 Feb), we could all do something for our loved ones, like make a cup of tea, clean out the hamster cage or even something as simple as tidy-up.

In February, we also celebrate pancake day (21 Feb) and Ash Wednesday (22 Feb) at the start of Lent. Lent is the time when Jesus went into the wilderness to prepare himself for Easter when he would do something for us.
